Savages Bring Home the Championship!
Congratualtions go out to the Salmon River Savages. On Saturday, November 21, 2016, the Salmon River Savages sealed a 22-20 victory over the Deary Mustangs in the 1A Division II state football championship. This is the third title in four years, and its fifth in the past nine years.
“It’s surreal,” Shepherd said. “I still can’t quite believe it myself because the odds were so stocked against us at the start of the season. … It’s absolutely incredible what these kids accomplished.” (Idaho Statesman).
First Home Basketball Game of the Year
Come join the Lady Savages as they play their first home basketball game of the season. The Savages will host Wilder tonight (Thursday, November 19) at 6:00pm MST. On Saturday, join us in Moscow to watch the football team play for the state championship. Yee yee! Go Savages!

State Football Fundraiser Dinner
Tonight there will be a Booster Club fundraiser dinner for the football team going to the state championship in Moscow at the Kibbie Dome. The dinner will be in the multipurpose room at 7:00pm. Brisket, mashed potatoes, gravy, and rolls will be provided. Please bring a salad or dessert. Donations will be accepted at the door for the team’s travel expenses.
Volleyball and Football District Champs!
Congratulations go out to our football and volleyball teams. For the first time in Savage history, both teams are district champions. The football team will travel to Moscow to play Deary on Saturday at 7:00pm PST in the KIbbie Dome for the State title. Let’s bring home that blue trophy. Go Savages!
