Congratulations go out to the Salmon River Savage football team on their win against the Deary Mustangs. This win promotes the Savages in the playoff bracket. They will play Friday the 11th in Pocatello against Carey. Beating Carey will move the Savages on to State. Right now, it looks like the state game will either be played at BSU or U of I, depending on who is playing. Let’s go all the way! Go Savages!

Report Cards
To: Parents/Guardians
From: Dennis Fredrickson
Subject: Report Cards
In review of the cost of mailing report cards it has come to our attention the cost is approximately $200.00 per year. In today’s economy we need to make every dollar count. With this in mind the decision has been made to no longer send report cards through the mail, we prefer to spend that money on needed supplies for our students.
Please help us to control postage costs by attending the Parent Teacher Conferences each nine weeks. Attending the conferences will give you the opportunity to visit with your student’s teacher and monitor your student’s progress on a timely basis. The importance of knowing what is happening with your student makes it easier on the parent, student, and teacher to work as a team to help your child excel academically. If you cannot attend the conferences, you can make other arrangements to visit with the teachers or to pick up your student’s report cards at the office.
I would also like to remind parents of the PowerSchool Parent Portal that is available on-line http://jsd243.powerschool.com. Here you can look up your child’s progress at school including grades, assignments, absences, tardies, etc. at any time. For your login and password or any questions/concerns please feel free to call the SRHS Office at 630-6025, extension 5101. Thank you for your cooperation and help in controlling costs at our schools.
