Patrons and Friends of the Salmon River School District,
Regular Board meetings are held the third Monday of each month with a call to order and executive session at 6:00 p.m., and the general session beginning immediately following at the Salmon River High School District Office. Public input is welcome as indicated on the agenda. Public comment may be imposed time limits as necessary for the conduct of district business in a timely manner. Meeting agendas, minutes, and board policy can be found HERE.
State law permits the Board to go into executive session to discuss personnel, negotiations, property, or legal matters. No vote on any item may be taken in executive session except in the case of student expulsion.
Board agendas are posted at the District Office at least 48 hours before a regular meeting and 24 hours before a special meeting, as well as on the District website and designated posting areas.
Patron Input / Addressing the Board:
Meetings of the Board of Trustees follow a standard, published agenda. The Chairman of the Board presides at meetings. Patrons who wish to comment on agenda items under discussion may do so by signing in with the Clerk of the Board prior to the beginning of the respective meeting. Open Meeting Law does not require public comments.
When appearing before the Board, please state your name, and the item on the agenda you wish to discuss. No person may orally initiate charges or complaints against students or individual employees of the district. The Board’s function is decision-making and the sentiments of the patrons assist in making those decisions.
Sincerely,
Trisha Simonson
