SSI, Medicaid waivers, wills and trusts
Financial issues are a burden for most families, especially in a small rural community where most of the employment is dependent on the tourist industry. Parents must know what services are available to them and for their students. The FAFSA is a free application to help students gain financial aid for those who want to attend college or other qualifying schools. For students with disabilities, there are additional services to help with financial needs such as Medicaid and Social Security. Knowing what services are available for students and young adults with disabilities is important because there is financial help available for many people.
